The Beinecke Library short-term research fellowships support scholars from around the world—both academic and independent—who propose research projects that substantively engage with Yale Library Special Collections. The program encourages both traditional archival work and innovative, interdisciplinary, or creative approaches. Fellows are expected to conduct full-time, onsite research at Yale, participate in the intellectual life of the university, and contribute to the library community. At the conclusion of the fellowship, recipients are required to provide feedback and acknowledge the fellowship in related publications or presentations.
