--- ## Description The Beinecke Library's Short-term Research Fellowships provide competitive funding for scholars—both academic and independent, from any country—to conduct onsite research using Yale Library Special Collections. The program welcomes traditional archival and bibliographic research as well as creative, interdisciplinary, and non-traditional approaches. Fellows are expected to be physically present to use collection materials, participate in the intellectual life of the university, and provide feedback on their experience. The fellowship aims to foster inclusivity and encourages applications from diverse backgrounds. --- ## Due Dates - July 31, 2026: Full application submission deadline (all materials must be received through Interfolio) - Applicants will be notified of decisions by January 31, 2027. - Fellowship research must be conducted between June 1, 2027, and May 31, 2028. --- ## Funding Amount - $5,000 per month, prorated for visits between two weeks and two months. - Funding is awarded at the beginning of the fellowship, though international payments may take several weeks. - Fellows are responsible for any taxes related to the award. --- ## Eligibility - Open to academic and independent scholars worldwide. - Applicants must NOT be enrolled in a degree program at the time of the fellowship award.
