The Short-Term Research Fellowships offered by the New York Public Library (NYPL) support graduate-level, post-doctoral, professional, or independent scholars based outside the New York metropolitan area. The fellowship enables researchers to undertake projects in the arts and humanities that require onsite use of NYPL’s distinctive collections at one of its three research centers: the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, or the Library for the Performing Arts. The program aims to facilitate innovative scholarship that leverages the depth and breadth of NYPL’s holdings.
