Description
The Shovel-Ready (ShoRe) Pilot Grants, offered by the DE-CTR ACCEL Program, are designed to help principal investigators who have submitted competitive, peer-reviewed clinical or translational research proposals to major funding agencies (e.g., NIH, PCORI, VA, NSF), received reviewer feedback, but were not funded. These grants provide targeted, short-term support to collect additional data or perform analyses needed to address reviewer critiques and strengthen the likelihood of successful resubmission. The program aims to bridge the gap for promising research that is close to being fundable but requires further development.
