Description
The Singapore Therapeutics Development Review (STDR) is a national public-sector research grant implemented by A*STAR with the Experimental Drug Development Centre (EDDC), Nucleic Acid Therapeutics Initiative (NATi), and Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). It aims to strengthen Singapore’s drug development and biotech pipelines by supporting potentially high-value projects according to their maturity and industry-readiness.
Pre-Pilot supports exploratory proof-of-concept work with preliminary data, through target validation and therapeutic platform development streams. Pilot supports more mature single-target, single-asset, and platform projects with robust validation, supporting research data, and a clear commercialisation pathway. The program considers all disease areas and modalities, including small molecules, biologics, and cell and gene therapies. Funding is combined with active project management, industry feedback, mentoring, training, and networking to support project delivery and commercial strategy.
