Description
The Single Ventricle Research Fund (SVRF) is the flagship annual award program of Additional Ventures, dedicated to supporting foundational research that advances the understanding and treatment of single ventricle heart disease (SVHD). The initiative targets the complex organ- and multi-organ-level complications that impact long-term morbidity and mortality in affected individuals. SVRF encourages studies focused on the mechanisms underlying disease and on addressing clinical sequelae, with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes and quality of life for people living with SVHD. Research domains include circulatory regulation, lymphatic and immune equilibrium, liver health, kidney and gut perfusion, cardiac integrity, and neurodevelopment. The program offers two tracks: the Independent Investigator Track and the Career Development Track.
