Description
The SIOP Foundation’s Anti-Racism Grants support projects intended to advance understanding of racism and eliminate it from the workplace. The program reflects industrial and organizational psychology’s commitment to improving the well-being and performance of people and the organizations that employ them. It addresses both overt and institutionalized racial discrimination as direct and indirect threats to employees and employers.
For this program, racism means prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against people because of their membership in a racial or ethnic group, typically one that is marginalized or in the minority. Past supported projects examine subtle messages in diversity initiatives, recruitment strategies, job-posting language, and employees’ efforts to combat systemic racism within organizations.
