The Neurological Foundation’s Sir Richard Faull Fellowship provides personal support and research expenses for an outstanding independent researcher with strong community engagement. Named after Distinguished Professor Sir Richard Faull, founder of the Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank, it supports established research fellows working at New Zealand institutions who have not yet obtained a permanent academic appointment.
Research must contribute to understanding, prevention, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment or management of diseases and disorders of the central or peripheral nervous systems, with a clear outcome that adds to neurological knowledge. The Foundation values robust methodology, potential advances in the field, positive outcomes for people with neurological conditions, community outreach, collaboration and neuroscience capacity-building through training students and staff.
