Description
The Skin Cancer Foundation Research Grants Program provides seed funding for pilot research projects focused on the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer. Since 1979, the Foundation has supported early career scientists whose work has led to important advances in the field. The program prioritizes projects that can generate preliminary data for subsequent, larger grant applications and encourages innovative ideas at both clinical and basic science levels. Each year, a committee of volunteer physicians reviews applications and selects projects with high potential for impact.
