Description
The Small Business Advantage Grant is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection through its Small Business Ombudsman's Office. It provides reimbursement funding to Pennsylvania small businesses for practical projects that improve energy efficiency or reduce pollution and waste. Supported work includes upgrading or replacing equipment and supplies, improving business processes, and reducing runoff into affected waterways.
Lighting, HVAC, boiler, and digital x-ray upgrades are among the most common funded projects, but the program supports a wider variety of work, including Natural Resource Protection projects. The project's environmental impact and whether it is located in a Pennsylvania Environmental Justice Area affect the reimbursement percentage and maximum award.
