Description
The Administration for Community Living’s National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) funds this Phase II opportunity under the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Phase II projects build on Phase I results and further develop research or research and development products generated by small businesses.
NIDILRR’s SBIR program aims to improve the lives of people with disabilities and increase the commercial application of research results and development products. Funded projects must address the needs of people with disabilities and promote outcomes in health and function, community living, or employment. The broader federal SBIR program seeks to stimulate private-sector technological innovation and strengthen small businesses’ role in meeting federal research needs.
