The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) funds the establishment and operation of the Region 3 Small Business Transportation Technical Assistance Center (SBTTAC), formerly known as the Small Business Transportation Resource Center. The center serves Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota, helping small businesses prepare for, compete for, and perform Federal, state, local, and private transportation contracts.
The selected organization will deliver coordinated business counseling, training, capital-access and bonding assistance, outreach, and referrals to USDOT programs, including the National Bonding Education Program. The program emphasizes measurable outcomes, expanded access to financing, consistent service delivery, and accurate performance reporting through OSDBU’s designated customer relationship management system.
