Description
The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Small City Allotment Program is an annual allocation of state funds for local transportation projects in Oregon’s smaller incorporated cities. It supports improvements to existing streets that are inadequate for the traffic they serve or are in a condition detrimental to safety. Projects must be within the public right of way and within or under an eligible city’s jurisdiction.
ODOT distributes funding across its five regions using each region’s share of eligible city population, eligible cities, and applications received. Projects compete with others in their region. The program does not fund new construction, equipment purchases, utility work, right-of-way expenses, or off-street parking improvements.
