Description
The Small Grants Program is an initiative by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department to assist private landowners in improving wildlife habitat on their properties. The program provides funding for projects such as brush clearing, mowing to maintain grasslands and shrublands, releasing old apple trees, and maintaining woodland openings. The overarching goal is to promote habitat diversity, supporting a wide array of wildlife species and maintaining the ecological health of New Hampshire’s landscapes. In exchange for funding, landowners must agree to keep their land open for non-motorized public access, including hunting.
