Description
This opportunity invites eligible shared biomedical research facilities—including core facilities, biorepositories, model resource facilities, and other shared research resources—to apply for funding to purchase new small instruments or scientific equipment. The goal is to help these facilities modernize, improve, and operate more efficiently, thereby supporting a broad base of biomedical researchers. Priority is given to requests for small instruments that leverage new or emerging technologies or produce physical, chemical, or biomaterial outputs beyond conventional digital data. Funding cannot be used for highly specialized research instruments or for building-level infrastructure equipment that only indirectly supports research.
