Description
The Small Livestock Operation Grant is part of the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food’s Grazing Improvement Program. It provides cost-share support for projects that improve rangeland management and sustainability for livestock producers operating in Utah. Examples include water developments, fencing, and vegetation treatments that improve grazing areas.
The broader Grazing Improvement Program was established by the Rangeland Improvement Act in 2006. The act also guided the formation of State and Regional Grazing Advisory Boards to strengthen the voices of producers using Utah’s rangelands. This grant focuses on practical improvements connected to livestock grazing and long-term rangeland management.
