Description
The Smithsonian Biodiversity Genomics Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (BioG) supports collaborative research using comparative genomic approaches, including phylogenomics, population genomics, metagenomics, and transcriptomics. Projects must include significant bioinformatics analysis. The program brings postdoctoral researchers into residence at the Smithsonian to pursue biodiversity genomics research using its research staff, facilities, and resources.
The Smithsonian’s molecular research facilities are located at the National Museum of Natural History, National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, and Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in the Republic of Panama. Collaboration among Smithsonian facilities is encouraged.
