The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), through its Brain Advisory Committee, administers this mentored research grant for young investigators. Supported by a Goldenberg Family Foundation gift through the Education and Research Foundation for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (ERF), the award honors the memory of Marc Daniel Goldenberg and supports efforts to recruit and retain students, trainees, and early-career scientists in biomedical research.
The program combines research funding with mentorship for qualified SNMMI-member mentor-mentee teams. Relevant biomedical research fields are welcome, with priority given to meritorious neuroscience-focused proposals. The foundation’s broader interests include neuroscience and hematology/oncology. Selection considers the proposed work’s scientific merit, the candidate’s qualifications, and the mentors and mentorship plan.
