Description
The Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) established the Diversity & Inclusivity Mentored Grants through its Diversity & Inclusivity Committee to foster diversity within the society and support the careers of diverse members. The program connects educational, clinical, or research projects with mentorship aimed at professional growth, leadership development, and active involvement in SOAP.
Each project is mutually agreed upon by a mentor and mentee. Mentors provide guidance, direction, and counsel while mentees gain experience in leadership, research, and education. The program emphasizes how the work can advance the mentee’s career trajectory, with resulting work shared through abstracts, posters, or presentations at the SOAP Annual Meeting.
