This funding opportunity supports research projects that deepen the understanding of cultural heritage’s role in fostering societal resilience, intercultural dialogue, and social cohesion across Europe. Projects should explore how cultural heritage shapes civic engagement, social innovation, collective memory, and democratic values, while developing forward-looking narratives aligned with Europe’s evolving values. The initiative encourages multidisciplinary, empirical, and participatory research approaches, focusing on three thematic areas:

• Cultural participation and access (especially among youth and disadvantaged groups)
• Gender roles and identities in cultural narratives
• The relationship between cultural heritage, social cohesion, and security

Proposals are expected to deliver good practices, policy recommendations, and guidance for policymakers and practitioners, and to leverage existing EU-funded knowledge, networks, and digital platforms to maximize impact and knowledge dissemination.
