The Society for Ethnomusicology’s Annual Meeting Travel Fund provides five International Awards each year to increase and facilitate international participation in its Annual Meeting. These awards support travel by presenters who live permanently outside the United States and Canada, rather than financing a separate research project. Support is tied to an accepted presentation abstract and participation in the meeting.
The Annual Meeting Program Committee also serves as the Travel Fund Award Committee. It reviews accepted presenters who request travel-fund consideration and selects recipients based on the quality of their presentation abstracts. The final group of five awardees is also intended to represent diverse geographic regions.
