The ASIO-SOT Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award is offered through the Society of Toxicology and its Association of Scientists of Indian Origin (ASIO). Given annually to an outstanding toxicologist of Indian origin, it recognizes achievement in toxicology rather than supporting a specified research project. The award includes a plaque and/or a certificate of recognition.
The award emphasizes both scientific contributions and leadership within the professional toxicology community. Nominations should explain the nominee’s contributions to the field and highlight leadership roles in organizations such as ASIO and SOT. Eligible scientists must be actively involved in toxicology research and may work in academia, industry, government, consulting, or another organization involved in toxicology research.
