Key Information: ASIO membership or a pending membership application is required; SOT membership is not required.
Offered through the Society of Toxicology (SOT), this international travel award recognizes research presented at the SOT Annual Meeting by undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows of Indian origin from outside the USA. It supports meeting presentations rather than a separate research project, with an emphasis on work in which the applicant has played a leading role and made a significant contribution.
The awards are supported by the Toxikon, A Preclinical Toxicology Organization; and Dr. Dharm Singh Association of Scientists of Indian Origin (ASIO) Award Fund, established with SOT in 2014. The ASIO Award committee determines the number of awards, up to two each year. Each recipient receives a monetary award and a certificate.
