Key Information: At least one author must be a Society of Toxicology member.

    Description

The BMSS Best Paper Award is presented by the Society of Toxicology’s Biological Modeling Specialty Section (BMSS) to recognize authors of a biologically based computational modeling paper published in peer-reviewed literature. It honors completed, published work rather than supporting a proposed research project. Eligible papers must have appeared in hard copy or online during the calendar year preceding a given SOT Annual Meeting.

The award highlights innovation, modeling and manuscript quality, impact on the field, and usefulness in toxicology and risk assessment. A committee of BMSS member volunteers, led by the section’s Vice President, identifies candidate papers through Medline and other database searches and selects the winning paper. Recognition is presented at the BMSS Business Meeting and Reception during the SOT Annual Meeting.
