The Society of Toxicology’s Biological Modeling Specialty Section (BMSS) presents this award to recognize outstanding trainee work in biologically based computational modeling. It honors the lead author of an abstract presented at the SOT Annual Meeting, with an achievement plaque presented during the BMSS Business Meeting and Reception.
The award highlights modeling research with a biologically based computational focus or impact and utility in toxicology or risk assessment. A committee of BMSS member volunteers, led by the section’s Vice President-Elect, selects the winning abstract. The committee considers nominated abstracts and also searches abstracts submitted for the Annual Meeting to identify eligible work.
