The Society of Toxicology’s Biotechnology Specialty Section (BTSS) Outstanding Young Investigator Award recognizes significant contributions to scientifically relevant approaches to, and interpretation of, toxicological aspects unique to biotechnology-derived products. It honors scientific achievement already made, rather than supporting a proposed research project.
The award focuses on contributions that advance biotechnology as it relates to the toxicology and environmental health sciences communities. Nominations should demonstrate the originality, creativity, and impact of the candidate’s scientific contributions. Members of the award committee determine the recipient, who receives a monetary prize and an engraved plaque.
