    Description

The Society of Toxicology’s Carcinogenesis Specialty Section (CSS) runs this graduate student abstract competition to recognize research in carcinogenesis. The first-place winner receives the Dharm V. Singh Endowment Award, supported by the Dharm V. Singh Carcinogenesis Award Fund. This is recognition of research presented in an abstract, rather than funding for a separately proposed research project.

The competition also recognizes second- and third-place graduate student winners. All three receive monetary awards, with a plaque for first place and certificates for second and third place. Awards are announced during the CSS meeting at the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting. CSS membership is not required to enter.
