Summary: Recognizes outstanding carcinogenesis research by postdoctoral researchers and young investigators through a best-abstract competition.
Key Information: Applicants must have received their Ph.D. within the past three years; CSS membership is not required.
The Society of Toxicology’s Carcinogenesis Specialty Section (CSS) offers this award to recognize outstanding research in carcinogenesis by postdoctoral researchers and young investigators. Applicants compete for a best-abstract distinction by submitting their SOT research abstract, accompanied by a current curriculum vitae and an advisor’s recommendation.
This is an abstract-based recognition award rather than funding for a new project or a defined course of research. One recipient receives a cash award and a plaque, with the award announced during the CSS meeting at the SOT Annual Meeting. The award is associated with the Dharm V. Singh Carcinogenesis Award Fund.
