Summary: Recognizes graduate student research abstracts presented at the SOT Annual Meeting and their significance for drug discovery toxicology.
Key Information: Applicants must be current graduate students with an abstract accepted for presentation at the SOT Annual Meeting.
The DDTSS Student Abstract Competition, administered by the Society of Toxicology (SOT), recognizes current graduate students whose research abstracts have been accepted for presentation at the SOT Annual Meeting. The competition focuses on the research described in those abstracts and its importance to drug discovery toxicology. Applicants provide a cover letter explaining that significance and offering additional context for their work.
Rather than supporting a specified new research project, the competition rewards student research shared through the Annual Meeting. First-, second-, and third-place prizes are presented at the meeting. The award is made possible by the Emil Pfitzer Drug Discovery Toxicology Endowment Fund, listed in the program as the Emil A. Pfitzer Drug Discovery Student Award Fund.
