The Society of Toxicology’s DTSS Combe Personal Care Trainee Award recognizes outstanding research by students and postdoctoral fellows in dermal toxicology. The award encourages scientific contributions that expand knowledge relevant to the safety and health of the skin.
Eligible research spans skin irritation and sensitization, dermal exposure and absorption, mechanisms of skin toxicity, ingredient and product safety, and approaches to evaluating substances that contact the skin. Selection considers the scientific quality of the work, its relevance to dermal toxicology, and the trainee’s contribution. The recipient is recognized at the DTSS Annual Reception during the SOT Annual Meeting and shares their work through a brief meeting presentation and a more detailed DTSS-organized webinar.
