The Society of Toxicology’s Ethical, Legal, Forensics, and Societal Issues (ELFSI) Specialty Section created this award to encourage postdoctoral scholars whose research addresses these dimensions of toxicology. The award recognizes the relevance of an investigator’s work to ethical, legal, forensic, and/or social questions, rather than focusing on a particular research topic or method.
The program highlights the importance of this scholarship within the Society’s specialty-section community. Preference is given to ELFSI Specialty Section members, although graduate students in other SOT Specialty Sections are also encouraged to apply. The recipient receives an achievement certificate and is announced at the ELFSI Specialty Section Reception during the SOT Annual Meeting.
