The Society of Toxicology’s Exposure Specialty Section (ESS) Best Publication Award recognizes a published paper in exposure science as it relates to toxicology. It honors contributions to the exposure field rather than funding a new research project. The award considers work with an exposure assessment or methodology focus, emphasizing scientific quality, the significance of the research, the impact or novelty of the findings, and the quality of the writing.
The winning paper receives recognition from the Specialty Section at the Society’s Annual Meeting. Student authors of the winning paper are also eligible for travel support to attend the meeting, subject to availability. Alongside nominated papers, the Exposure Specialty Section Executive Committee may identify additional candidates through a literature review.
