    Description

The Society of Toxicology (SOT) supports education and professional development experiences that address training needs outside an applicant’s current program. Eligible activities include professional workshops, extramural laboratory experiences, conference participation, and internship or conference travel. The award aims to help students enter advanced degree programs and professional positions in toxicology or related fields.

The award is provided through the SOT Diversity Initiative Endowment Fund and administered by the Education and Experiential Opportunities Committee. The fund seeks to increase and retain individuals from groups underrepresented in the biomedical sciences. Previously funded experiences include advanced imaging mass spectrometry, RNA-Seq bioinformatics, pharmaceutical and regulatory toxicology, and exposure-response analysis training.
