Summary: Recognizes the best immunotoxicology paper published in a peer-reviewed journal during the current calendar year.
Key Information: Authors cannot nominate their own papers; first and/or corresponding authors need ITSS membership for full consideration.
The Society of Toxicology’s Immunotoxicology Specialty Section (ITSS) recognizes the year’s best paper in immunotoxicology through this annual award. It honors the authors of published research rather than providing support for a proposed project. Papers may appear in any peer-reviewed journal, and the publication itself is the basis for recognition.
The award centers on the findings and value of the research to immunotoxicology. Nominations include the article’s citation and a supporting letter discussing its contribution. The ITSS Awards Committee, chaired by the Senior Councilor, makes the final selection, and the authors of the selected paper receive an engraved plaque.
