Description
The Society of Toxicology’s Immunotoxicology Specialty Section (ITSS) offers these awards to help graduate students and postdoctoral scholars attend the SOT Annual Meeting and present their research. Supported by the Mitzi and Prakash Nagarkatti Research Excellence in Immunotoxicology Award Fund within the SOT Endowment Fund, the program provides meeting support rather than direct funding to conduct research.
The awards emphasize applicants’ contributions to immunotoxicology or a closely related discipline, their potential future contributions, and how meeting attendance will advance their careers in immunotoxicology. ITSS leadership oversees selection, and recipients receive both a cash award and an engraved plaque.
