Description
The Society of Toxicology’s Immunotoxicology Specialty Section (ITSS) presents this award to recognize scientists in academia, industry, and regulatory entities whose work has significantly advanced immunotoxicology. Also described as the Outstanding Senior Immunotoxicologist Award, it honors a scientist’s body of work and leadership rather than funding a specified research project.
Recognition centers on the depth, breadth, and significance of scientific contributions within the nominee’s chosen area of immunotoxicology, together with service to the immunotoxicology community. The award forms part of ITSS’s work to honor members’ scientific accomplishments at the annual Society of Toxicology meeting. The recipient receives an engraved plaque and a cash award.
