The Society of Toxicology’s Immunotoxicology Specialty Section (ITSS) administers this award to recognize postdoctoral trainees and junior independent scientists in academia, industry, or regulatory entities. It honors the depth, breadth, and significance of a scientist’s contributions to advancing immunotoxicology, alongside service to the immunotoxicology community.
Rather than funding a defined research project or prescribed topic, the award recognizes scientific achievement and contributions to the wider field. Nominators must document the candidate’s accomplishments and community service. The recipient receives an engraved plaque and a cash award, with final selection made by a group of current and past ITSS leaders.
