Summary: Recognizes outstanding poster presentations on in vitro and alternative methods at the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting.
Key Information: Applicants must be IVAMSS members at the time of application.
The IVAM Best Poster Award recognizes achievement in poster presentations focused on in vitro and alternative methods at the Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting. Offered through the In Vitro and Alternative Methods Specialty Section (IVAMSS), it recognizes presented research rather than supporting a proposed research project. The award is based on the actual poster presentation, not the submitted abstract.
IVAMSS interests include basic toxicological and pharmacological mechanisms across organ systems and the design, development, and application of in vitro and alternative methodologies for predictive toxicology and risk assessment. Its overarching goal is to encourage sound, science-based test systems as rapid, cost-effective alternatives to animal testing. Finalists are invited to present their posters at the IVAMSS reception during the Annual Meeting.
