Description
The Society of Toxicology (SOT) MDCPSS Travel Award supports students and postdoctoral fellows traveling to the SOT Annual Meeting to present research relevant to the safety evaluation of medical devices or combination products. The award recognizes research presented through either a poster or a platform presentation, rather than funding a separate research project.
Relevant work includes drug-device combinations, biocompatibility, material safety, and mechanistic toxicology applied to device risk assessment. The program connects recognition of research in these areas with assistance in attending the meeting. Each recipient receives a plaque and a monetary award to support travel.
