Description
The Society of Toxicology’s Mixtures Specialty Section (MixSS) administers this travel award to support students, postdocs, and young investigators working in mixtures research. Applicants submit projects for consideration, and selected applicants present at a virtual Jane Ellen Simmons Invited Seminar. An expert panel judges the presentations and selects the winner for travel support to the 2027 SOT Annual Meeting.
The award reflects MixSS’s commitment to developing young scientists and honors Dr. Jane Ellen Simmons’s contributions to mixtures research, risk assessment, environmental protection, and early-career development. Simmons helped found MixSS and served in its inaugural Presidential chain from 2007 to 2010.
