The Society of Toxicology’s MRC/SOT Early Career Toxicologist Award honors an outstanding Midwest toxicologist for sustained contributions to toxicology or a closely related field. It recognizes professional achievement rather than providing support for a specified research project.
The award emphasizes a sustained, high level of professional activity, including unique research achievements, special teaching proficiency, and efforts to promote the interests and concerns of toxicology. Candidates may be actively practicing or recently retired. The MRC/SOT President presents the award at the chapter’s annual spring meeting, where the recipient receives an engraved plaque and an honorarium.
