The Midwest Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (MRC/SOT) presents this award at its Spring Meeting to the applicant submitting the best undergraduate or graduate research proposal. The program recognizes student research relevant to toxicology and supports continued education and work on the proposed project. Proposals must explain the project's toxicological relevance through a rationale, hypothesis, specific aims, and summary of methods.
Award funds can support national or regional meeting travel, textbooks, workshops, or the proposed research itself. The recipient and their research advisor determine how to apply the award toward direct costs of toxicological training, education, and research. The winner returns to present the research at the following MRC/SOT Annual Spring Meeting.
