Key Information: Applicants must hold accepted or pending SOT membership and be MSBSS members when the award is presented.
The Society of Toxicology’s Molecular and Systems Biology Specialty Section (MSBSS) offers this award to recognize one outstanding peer-reviewed paper integrating molecular biology and/or systems biology into toxicology research and/or risk assessment. It recognizes completed, published primary research rather than supporting a proposed research project, with particular attention to the paper’s impact on the field and the first author’s contribution.
The award considers both the relevance or novelty of the research to molecular and systems toxicology and the scientific quality of the manuscript. Papers may be self-nominated or nominated by other MSBSS members. The selected paper’s first author receives recognition at the MSBSS reception during the SOT Annual Meeting.
