The Society of Toxicology’s Metals Specialty Section (MSS) administers this MDPI-supported award to recognize a peer-reviewed publication that has made a significant contribution to metals toxicology. It honors published scientific work rather than funding a proposed research project. The MSS executive committee determines the significance of the paper’s contribution to the field.
The award focuses on publications whose first author is a student or postdoctoral SOT member, with MSS membership required for either the first or last author. It is presented to the publication’s author or authors at the SOT Annual Meeting. The first author receives both cash recognition sponsored by the journal Toxics and a separate voucher toward article processing charges in Toxics.
