Summary: Recognizes a postdoctoral researcher whose work represents an outstanding achievement in nanoscience and advanced materials.
Key Information: An accepted SOT abstract and a recommendation from the primary advisor are required.
The Society of Toxicology’s NAMSS Outstanding Postdoctoral Award recognizes a postdoctoral researcher for outstanding achievement in nanoscience and advanced materials. Presented as an engraved plaque, it honors the significance of the investigator’s work rather than providing funding for a new research project. The primary basis for recognition is the importance of the research to the field.
Assessment considers a clearly stated hypothesis, thorough physicochemical characterization of relevant nanomaterials, quality of data interpretation, potential impact, and style. Preference is given to Specialty Section and SOT members at large, but postdoctoral candidates in other Specialty Sections are also encouraged to apply.
