    Description

The National Capital Area Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (NCAC-SOT) offers the Bern Schwetz Travel Award to help promising early-career research scientists attend the SOT Annual Meeting. The award supports graduate students and postdoctoral researchers presenting research accepted for the meeting. It provides travel assistance tied to meeting participation, rather than funding a separate research project.

NCAC-SOT has provided these awards since 2003 in honor of Dr. Bern Schwetz, a nationally recognized expert in reproductive and developmental toxicology who served as chapter president from 2000–2001. The program supports the chapter’s mission of assisting students in toxicology and connecting researchers through the Society’s annual scientific gathering.
