The National Capital Area Chapter of the Society of Toxicology (NCAC-SOT) invites nominations for its 2026 Paper of the Year Recognition. The program honors an outstanding peer-reviewed publication and highlights excellence within the chapter’s scientific community. It recognizes original research articles and reviews demonstrating scientific rigor, innovation, and meaningful impact in toxicology research, risk assessment, regulatory science, public health, or related disciplines.
Rather than providing project funding, the program celebrates published or formally accepted scientific work. The NCAC-SOT Awards Committee evaluates nominations for scientific excellence, innovation and originality, and significance and impact on toxicology. The selected nominee receives a plaque and chapter publicity, while the first author shares the research with the chapter through a virtual webinar.
