Summary: Recognizes student-authored abstracts on occupational or environmental public health research presented at the SOT Annual Meeting.
Key Information: Applicants must be current SOT student members attending the Annual Meeting and nominated by another SOT member.
The OPHSS Best Abstract Award is offered by the Society of Toxicology’s Occupational and Public Health Specialty Section. It recognizes a published abstract connected to research presented at the SOT Annual Meeting, either as a platform or poster presentation. The research must be materially related to occupational public health, environmental public health, or an associated discipline.
The award is for undergraduate and graduate student members of SOT who are first authors of their abstracts. It recognizes research communicated at the Annual Meeting rather than funding a new research project. The sponsoring specialty section promotes the integration of exposure, toxicological, and epidemiological principles and research approaches to address occupational, environmental, and public health issues.
