Summary: Recognizes high-quality peer-reviewed research papers addressing occupational, environmental, or public health.
Key Information: At least one co-author must be an SOT member at any membership level.
The Society of Toxicology (SOT), through its Occupational and Public Health Specialty Section (OPHSS), recognizes high-quality published research addressing occupational, environmental, or public health. This is an award for published scientific work rather than funding for a new research project.
Papers considered for the award are drawn from selected journals covering these health topics. OPHSS members are also encouraged to nominate high-quality papers published in other specialized journals when their subject matter fits the award’s scope. Winners receive a plaque at the OPHSS meeting or reception and are expected to share their research through a webinar within the following year.
