The OPHSS Rising Scientist Award, offered by the Society of Toxicology (SOT), recognizes occupational toxicologists and public health professionals for sustained, high levels of activity in their field or a closely related area. It honors accomplishments already made rather than supporting a proposed research project.
Recognized contributions may include unique research achievements, special teaching proficiency, or efforts to promote the interests and concerns of occupational toxicology and public health research. Candidates must be actively practicing in occupational toxicology or public health. The award is presented by the OPHSS/SOT President at the OPHSS luncheon during the annual spring SOT meeting.
