The Society of Toxicology’s Occupational and Public Health Specialty Section (OPHSS) offers this award to support graduate students participating in the SOT Annual Meeting in March 2027. It recognizes hypothesis-driven research illustrating the integrated application of toxicology, epidemiology, or related fields to public health or occupational health.
The award connects research presented in SOT-accepted abstracts with students’ research interests and professional goals. Abstracts are assessed for scientific merit and clarity of presentation, with preference given to presenting authors. Consideration also extends to candidates whose professional goals include public health and occupational health research. Recipients receive a monetary award and one year of student membership in OPHSS.
